The richly popular radio channel has come up with first entertainment awards for films. The Big Kannada Entertainment Awards from radio channel 92.7 FM will be given way sometime in March end this year at Ambedkar Bhavan.
The awards include best entertainer of the year, director, best character artist – male and female, best actor, actress music director, singer, lyric and villain of the year. The awards are also given in the dance and theatre. In the last year Big FM has instituted awards for television too.
The awards presentation will be premiered on the Ugadi day in April in ETV Kannada. All the awards are in the popular category. The jury consists of Master Hirannaiah, actor Prayanaraja Srinath and dance exponent Padmini Ravi.
The categories were revealed on Monday at Taj Gateway situated on residency Road. The renowned dancer Usha Datar, actress Harshika Poonacha, actor Srikanth of Olave Mandhara and director Jayathirtha were present.
Usha Datar the pride of Bangalore felt happy for traditional getting importance. Harish wished everyone get the awards and revealed her votes for ‘Jackie’ Kannada film.
